Welcome to SKY-FKS
Lutheran Student Christian Movement in Finland is an ecumenical and international student movement. It was grounded in 1897 and joined the World Student Christian Federation (WSCF) from the beginning.
We believe that an encounter with God and other people lies in the heart of Christianity. This directs us to cross boundaries despite differences in ethnicity, gender, social status or sexual orientation. And to take care of each other. Ecumenism, international solidarity and integrity of creation are our core values.
Lutheran SCM Finland has self-organized local associations around Finland. They arrange thematical discussion evenings, in which students get to talk about religious, social and ethical topics according to their interests. We organize several nationwide events yearly, and we also publish two magazines: the Swedish-speaking Ad Lucem, and the Finnish-speaking Etsijä.
Our SCM cooperates actively with other member organisations within the WSCF, especially with our Nordic and Baltic sister organisations. We send delegates to their seminars and other events, and also organise international events in Finland.
